The mansion has been renovated completely. Inside the
building you can visit a modern exhibition. The museum
gives an overview of the developments and most important
events in the maritime world starting from the 15th century.
With the help of maps, model ships, cannons, coins, other
artefacts and official documents history is revived, supported
by modern media techniques. Apart from a permanent display
other exhibitions are organized from time to time. A café
and a souvenir shop can be localized in the building.
The elegant mansion Villa Maria next to the museum is
also a visit worthwhile. It is fully furnished with 18th
century furniture.
